The Light Within us

Venture down into a forsaken prison, to unravel long forgotten mysteries and overcome the traps and dangers hidden inside

A young woman follows the trail left behind by her uncle, her only family, after he decided to go on a quest to recover a mysterious & powerful object long forgotten, hidden deep beneath the earth for the dangers its creation brought.

The game is a 2D Puzzle Platformer and story driven. 

This is a 5 months project with a strong focus on the narration and the first big project I had. 

It was made with Léo SZTULZAFT, Cyprien RAVIDAT, Virgile SADON, Lucas BERTOUX and Samuel DO NASCIMENTO GONÇALVES.

In this project I was in charge of the narration. 

The character has basic movements and can pickup and throw objects.

In the middle of the game the player will find the Illumilight, a special torch that give the player the ability to teleport

Post Mortem

In this project we made the mistake to focus only in the role assigned at the begining. The communication was also a problem since we didn't communicate a lot. 

We managed to finish the game in time but we could have done way better if we had communicated more with each others. 

We also had lacks of technical knowledge of the engine.

I've learned the hard way that to write a good story for a game you need to understand exactly the consequences of what you are writing for your team. A simple word meanigless for you can put your coder or level designer into dispair.

I felt frustrated at first but a lot of the problems i was facing at that time were dues to my lack of knowledges.
